1. Dubai's giant Skyline
Dubai's development in recent decades has been enormous. Every day, new steel and concrete giants are built on every corner of the city - probably no other city changes its skyline more frequently than Dubai.
The best view of the Dubai skyline is definitely from Dubai Creek Harbour.
Take a cab and enjoy the sunset in this beautiful waterfront neighborhood.
2. Burj Khalifa - the highest building in the world
The Burj Khalifa is probably the most photographed building in Dubai. No wonder - the highest building in the world is a real visitor magnet.
From our point of view, the best view of the Burj Khalifa is from the roof terrace of the Shangri-La Hotel.
The Shangri-La Hotel is certainly not for the small purse - but you can register in advance at the reception and ask for access to the roof terrace.
If you want to visit the Burj Khalifa, we would recommend to book your Burj Khalifa tickets upfront to save time.
3. Oriental Flair in Old Dubai
A real contrast to the pulsating, modern city is Old Dubai.
Here you can feel how Dubai looked like a few years ago.
In the winding alleys you will find many colorful market stalls with fragrant spices and all kinds of delicacies - from our point of view also an exciting photo motif that should not be missed on a trip to Dubai.
4. Sunset in the desert
If you spend a few days in Dubai, you can't miss a trip to the desert.
Especially at sunrise or sunset you can experience magical moments there.
A very good spot for this is, for example, in the Al Qudra desert - just under an hour south of Dubai.
In our map above you can find the exact location.
It's best to rent a car for a day or book a evening desert safari.
5. Ghost Town - the abandoned city near Al Madam
A completely abandoned city in the middle of the desert is fascinating and at the same time an impressive photo motif.
Barely an hour away from Dubai, you can admire this gigantic scenery near the small town of Al Madam.
In addition to abandoned houses, you can also visit a former mosque.
More information about the Ghost Town and a detailed description of how to get there can be found in our article "Ghost Town Dubai - the abandoned City".
6. Pro Tip:
If you want to create travel videos in addition to photos, a gimbal for your mobile phone is super helpful, as it allows you to record much "smoother" videos (i.e. without "jerking").
We film our videos (e.g. for our Instagram Reels) with this gimbal from DJI.
